Այդ առիթով ապրիլի 18-ին, ժամը 16։00-ին Գաֆէսճեան արվեստի կենտրոնի «Արծիվ» սրահում տեղի կունենա հանդիպում ցուցադրության հեղինակներից մեկի՝ ստոկհոլմաբնակ հայ արվեստագետ Մ․Կարոյի հետ։ 

Մ.Կարոն (ծն. 1961, Երևան, Կարո Մկրտչյան) իր գեղարվեստական ուղին սկսել է 1978 թվականին՝ Կառլեն Հովսեփյանի ղեկավարած արվեստանոցում Երևանում և ցուցադրվում է 1987 թվականից։ Նա եղել է «3-րդ հարկ» շարժման մասնակիցներից, որը ուշ խորհրդային Հայաստանում փորձարարական արվեստի կարևոր հարթակներից էր։ 1980-ականների վերջից Կարոն մասնակցել է բազմաթիվ ցուցահանդեսների Հայաստանում և արտերկրում՝ այդ թվում Ֆրանսիայում, Գերմանիայում, Շվեդիայում, Ուկրաինայում և Կոլումբիայում, ինչպես նաև հանդես է եկել միջազգային բիենալեներում և ինստիտուցիոնալ նախագծերում։ Նրա աշխատանքները ներկայացվել են ինչպես անհատական, այնպես էլ խմբային նախագծերում, այդ թվում՝ երկրաչափական աբստրակցիային նվիրված հարթակներում թե՛ հայրենիքում թե՛ եվրոպական վերացական արվեստի համատեքստում։ Նրա 2001 թվականի Infinite անհատական ցուցահանդեսը ՆՓԱԿ-ում հանդիսանում է նրա ստեղծագործության կարևոր հանգրվաններից մեկը։ Նրա աշխատանքը արտացոլում է վերացական արվեստի հետ շարունակական ներգրավվածությունը՝ որպես և՛ ձևակառուցողական, և՛ գաղափարական լեզվի։


On April 3, the exhibition, Criterion was open at the Cafesjian Center for the Arts, featuring artists Achot Achot, M.Karo, and Narek Avetisyan. 

On this occasion, օn April 18, at 4pm a meetings with one of the exhibiting artists, Stockholm-based Armenian artist M.Karo will take place at Eagle Gallery of the Cafesjian Center for the Arts.

M.Karo (b. 1961, Yerevan, Karo Mkrtchyan) began his artistic formation in 1978 under the guidance of Karlen Hovsepian and has been exhibiting since 1987. He was among the participants of the “3rd Floor” movement, one of the key platforms for experimental art practices in late Soviet Armenia. Since the late 1980s, Karo has taken part in numerous exhibitions across Armenia and internationally, including projects in France, Germany, Sweden, Ukraine, and Colombia, as well as biennials and institutional projects worldwide. His work has been presented in both solo and group contexts, including exhibitions focused on Armenian abstraction and geometric abstraction in European contexts. His 2001 solo exhibition Infinite at ACCEA (NPAK), Yerevan, marks an important point of reference within his practice. Working across different cultural contexts, Karo’s practice is grounded in abstraction, often developed through structured compositions and serial processes. His work reflects a sustained engagement with abstraction as both a formal and conceptual language, evolving between the experimental artistic environment of the late Soviet period and his later activity in an international context.
